America Is In A Energy Crises

Yes America, we are in an energy crises! Bush to Congress drill now! House and Senate Democrats say no, all they can say is SUE OPEC - That is the cry of the left, OK Stupid go ahead and watch as they just cut production and the cost of energy will quadruple! Then the Democrats hound on big oil, threaten windfall profits taxes. Big Oil isn't the big problem, big government is the problem. And you people keep voting big government bureaucrats into power?
A perfect example of this is Presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama, has declared: "I'll make oil companies like Exxon pay a tax on their windfall profits, and we'll use the money to help families pay for their skyrocketing energy costs and other bills." The government already gets a healthy profit off of every gallon of gas and diesel that is sold, way more the big oil makes. The oil companies make about 8 cents on a gallon, when the local, state, federal governments make anywhere from .55 to .70 cents on every gallon sold and they don't have invest, research, develop, or refine a single drop of oil, they just hold a gun to our heads and demand their cut! Again we the people allow it to go on.
Then you have Socialist disguised as Liberal Democrats like Maxine Waters Threatening to "Socialize" the Oil Industry" people like her can't run their own house and they expect us to believe they can run oil business.

So if we are allow to explore and exploit new offshore oil, it maybe hampered by shortage of drilling ships. But as we did in the 1940's America can, and we can in record time. The overall boom in the economy would also be great, building ships, oil rigs, drillers, ruff necks, transporter, and pipeline personal. Can you say economic stimulus!
So first lets go after American oil first, we have more recoverable oil in America than in all of the Middle East. Yet we  keep paying those governments that hate us for their crude, to me that is a national security issue. People that hate us the most are making $1.3 trillion from oil in two years.

A fundamental change is coming sooner than you might think! If that is the case the government should do what Senator McCain suggested in a speech offer a 300 million prize for a new super battery technology, they need to take it a step further and award prizes for developing new energy sources like hydrogen, CNG hybrid  technology, even solar power extended life batteries.
